Urban Explorers

New in.

Is it just me or is the spring very slow this year? The cold wind, the grey clouds, the cool air.... Nevertheless I bought some spring stuff. A dress for my grandmother Birthday and a frilly nice lace top.

I really like that both pieces are very smooth and frilly and very playfull and girlish. Thats what spring and summerclothes should be like. What do you think? Which clothes make you whishing for the spring and summer?

Just look...

As I was in Lyon, I found some cute pieces of lace. And i found this post at Marions beautiful blog tutorial-diy-peter-pan-collar. So I decided to try it on my own.

I tea-diyed the cottonlace and made a cute collar.

Ribbonband

How it looks.

The cute button suits the green ribbonband very well.

Brooch and barette

I made some jewellery of my own. I found some lovley buttons at my moms.

You need:
some lovely buttons  maybe you want to sew them together

I used some lether from my old purse and a pin, I used glue

Thats the result I made three brooches and one barrette. For the barette I used some old lether, too. As you can see I used some letherband for the big brooch.

I hope you have fun with this.

Easter eggs

How you get the crazy pattern:

Just dye the eggs in a light color (like yellow, pale green or pale blue) use stickers, rubberbands and tape add them in a funny pattern to the egg . Usually the rubberbands are good to create stripes. Then dye the eggs in a darker color. Let the color dry and remove the stickers, rubberbands or tapes. You can try to use three differsnt colors at one egg.

Happy Easter to all of you.

Happy Easter

My new purse

You all know them, these little things of everyday-live which you just need. Towels, hats and scarfs and purses. Usually I had two. One for my several cards and one for my money. But now they are both worn out and broken. Broken closures are the least thing you need at a purse. So the mission was clear: New Purse.
For a person, who like it pretty and playful till the littlest things it wasn`t an easy challenge. My former moneypurse was cat-shaped and from leather. And the card purse was a playfull pearl embroided etuie. I liked them very much and will use them for some handycraft.
I was looking for a new purse since november. And yesterday at my monthly visit at the comic book store THER IT WAS: the perfect purse. Playfull and pretty, solid and with enough space for all important cards and passes and the different kinds of money.
