Happy New Year

Dear Readers,
I wish you a happy new Year. The last one was awesome but it had its tragic moments. But in all this sad times I had my familly and my friends around. I am thankful and full of joy reagarding the fact that people cared about me and all the problems were solved this year.  I am graceful for all the awesome moments in 20011. Starting a blog, seeing good friends, K. moved to Leipzig, I got in contact with new people, having nice flatmates and a cosy flat, my family, the WGT, new music, the opera etc..

So I am looking forward to 2012. Maybe I make some travels (Finland and France), a good friend will marry a very good guy, I will graduate and maybe have to face new challenges regarding my further lifestyle. I am looking forward to spending time with all this awesome people I was allowed to spent time with, last year.

What are you going to do in 2012? Have you planned to reach a special goal? Are there things you want to happen in the new year?

Christmas Season in Leipzig/ Leipzig favourites

I love, love, love this town. Even in dark and cold winternights I feel cosy, welcome and pleased in thid town.

On one hand, I have great friends here. It is allowed to me to spend my time and to share my flat and my live with great persons. I am thankful for being with boys and girls with awesome and interesting personalitys and big hearts.

On the other hand, christmasdecorations are the best here in Leipzig.

Then we have christmas markets here in Leipzig. A traditional and huge one and a more 'alternative' and cute one.

Leipzig favourite

The second christmasmarket is locatet in WerkII in Leipzig Connewitz. You find a lot of arts and crafts, selfmade clothes and jewelery, toys, biofood, designproducts and a lot of very interesting graphic fabrications (paper, papertoys, comicbooks, graphics, calenders). Furthermore you have a lot of barns where the social and subcultural associations organize 'Donationgifts'. They offer secondhand books, toys and jewelery and you can give them a free choosen amount of money for the things you want.

News before the hollydays

Oh hai,

I hope you still read me thoug I've scared you away with my blog-break.

This is a post about a few things, which I've done in the last weeks.

Two weeks ago I had a little christmas party. My friends and I backed these yummy cookies and afterwards we enjoyed the christmas market.

Then was ''Nikolaustag'' its a little cute tradition in Germany. At the evening of 5.december people clean their shoes. In the nigth Nikolaus comes and puts sweets in the clean shoes but cole in the dirty shoes (so better watch out that your shoes are clean ;)) Its traditional to put nuts, cookies, tangerines, apples and chocolate figurines (Schokonikolaus) in the shoes.
Me with my new glasses. I look intelligent, dosen't I ?
Advent is a time to tinker and do handicraft for me so I made a makeover of my Marimekko bag. The blue gemstones make her look very girlysh. But they can be easily removed.

I also wrapped the christmas gifts. Here`s a selection. I love the paisley paper.
